FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Getting Started

Access the FAME Project website: www.fibromyalgia-cme.com. The navigation buttons on the homepage allow participants to browse the entire website and obtain course information before you get started.

1. First-time Users
1. Select REGISTRATION/LOGIN
2. When you enter the login page, click on Create New Account button on the right-hand panel.
3. Enter the required information and create the login user email and password for future login.
4. Click Next to complete the New User Survey
5. Click Next to select your certificate type (CME, CE, or neither) and the corresponding organization.
6. Click Update Certificate Information and enter the Course Summary page.
7. You have completed the registration process. Please save the registered email and password for future visits to the website.
   
   
2. User Login
1. Select REGISTRATION/LOGIN
2. When you enter the login page, please use the registered email and password to login on the left-hand panel.
3. After you successfully login, you will be led to the Course Summary page.
4. If you forgot your password, click on the link Forget your Password? on the left-hand login panel. After a short verification, a reminder email will be delivered to your registered email address.
5. If you want to change your password, click on the link Update your Password on the left-hand panel and follow the on-screen instructions.
   
   
3. Using Course Summary Page
1. All modules are open for viewing.
2. Click on the View link under Presentation column to enter each course’s main page.
3. Each course’s main page contains three tags: Presentation, References and Supporting Materials. Presentation tag is the portal to view course presentation and take course exam.
4. If you are interested to know how much knowledge you gain from the presentation, you can go to the Presentation tag and select the link Exam to take the test.
5. You can take the exam as many times as you want until you reach the passing score of 70% and higher.
6. After you pass the exam, a link will direct you to evaluate the course you have just taken. Your opinion is very precious to us. Please make sure your voice can be heard.
7. After the course evaluation, the page will lead you back to the Course Summary page. You can start any other new course module.
8. The Recommendation link on the top of the Course Summary page is our suggestion to you for the courses you should take based on your profession. You can do as it suggests or you can view it all as you like it.
   
   
4. Keeping track of progress
1. The Course Summary page is the best place for you to keep track of the progress of your study on the FAME website
2. You can enter each course’s main page as many times as you want by clicking on the View link under the Presentation column.
3. Once you are eligible to take an exam (after watching the presentation), options will show under Exam column.
1. If you haven’t started the exam, a Begin link will show.
2. If you didn’t pass the exam, the score will show. You can click on the score and re-enter the exam of the course.
3. If you pass the exam, the column will show Pass and you will not be able to re-enter the exam again.
4. The Enter link under Eval Column will appear after you pass the exam of the course. You can use this link to complete the course evaluation.
   
   
5. The completion of a module
1. The information of this section will be very important to you if you intend to obtain the certificate for this program.
2. The course module will not be regarded as completed if you have not done the following:
1. View the presentation
2. Take the exam with passing score of 70% or higher
3. Complete the course evaluation
   
   
6. Pay for certificate
1. Once you finish all the necessary steps for the course modules in either Core Program (3) or in Supportive Program (5), the options for pay for certificate will appear under Request for Certificate column.
2. If you didn’t select any certificate when you registered, you can either use the link on the top of the Course Summary page to change your certificate status and organizations or use the options provided under Request for Certificate column.
3. Please note that you will not be able to obtain a certificate unless you select either CME or CE and the corresponding organization that you want to obtain the certificate from.
4. After the certificate status is confirmed, click on the link under Request for Certificate column to begin the transaction
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to fill in necessary information. The system will double confirm the information with you later.
6. The transaction will be submitted and you will receive an email for transaction confirmation.

Why do I need to take the New User Survey?

By taking the New User Survey you are helping to ensure improvements in the FAME Project by:

1. Allowing collection of information specific to participants' experiences that will help the creators of the FAME Project improve educational content by making it more specific to the needs of healthcare providers (HCPs) and other pertinent professionals interested in learning more about the diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia.
   
   
2. Informing the creators of the program how to produce new and better learning objectives and methods in order to present a better higher education experience to participants of the program.

Why do I need to select a certificate and organization?

The FAME Project is accredited by several organizations and agencies in order to meet the continuing medical educational needs of a variety of HCPs and other professionals who treat and/or assist fibromyalgia patients in their journey to a better quality of life. It is the participants’ responsibility to choose the appropriate accreditation organization for their specific professional field of expertise to make certain the correct CME/CE accreditation certificate is generated.

I didn’t take the Survey nor select a certificate when I registered.
No worry. Next time when you log back in to the website, the system will lead you to finish the section that you didn’t finish when you registered. After filling out the Survey and selecting a certificate, you will be able to enter the Course Summary page and start the courses.

I forgot my user email and password?
If you forgot which email you registered for the website, please email us at fibromyalgiaCME@fmaware.org with your name clearly indicated.

If you forgot your password, click on the link Forget your Password? on the left-hand login panel. After a short verification, a reminder email will be delivered to your registered email address.

I cannot view the presentation.
Make sure your computer is installed with Flash Player 9 or higher. Click here to download the latest Adobe Flash Player to view the presentation.

I cannot fast forward the presentation.

As the presentation is a streaming media, you may not be able to fast forward your presentation until a certain time after the presentation has been fully downloaded. Streaming time depends on the network speed that you use.

I cannot take the exam.
It might be because you haven’t watched the presentation yet. We have certain time restraints to make sure that you will watch the full length of presentations the first time before you take the exam. Please follow the on-screen instructions to return to each course’s main page to finish the presentation.

How many times can I take an exam?
You can take the exam as many times as you want until you reach the passing score of 70% and above. After achieving a passing score of 70% or above, you will not be able to access the exam again.

What does Eval mean on the Course Summary page?
Eval is the abbreviation for course evaluation. After you pass the exam, the system will lead you to the course evaluation. Your opinion is very important to us. Please make sure that we hear your voice. Thank you!

Do I need to do the course evaluation for each course module?
You will need to do the course evaluation for each course module if you intended to obtain a certificate. For those who have no intention to obtain a certificate, we would still appreciate if you can provide us with your precious opinion, if possible.

How do I receive Contact Hours/CE credit for completing this online course?
Once you finish watching a presentation, pass the exam with passing score of 70% or higher, and complete the course evaluation, you are considered finished with one course module. After you finish all the necessary course modules in Core Program (3) or in Supportive Program(s), an option to obtain a certificate will appear under Request for Certificate column. After payment, a Certificate of Completion will be sent to you by mail.

How do I pay for certification?
After you have logged in and completed the Core and/or Supportive Program(s), return to the Course Summary page. Select Pay for Certificate on the right side of the page. Choose “Yes, I would like to pay for the certificate” and then Proceed to Transaction. Complete the payment form and choose Checkout to complete the transaction.

POLICY

Cancellation/refund policy:
Please email us if you would like to cancel a transaction or if you think you may have submitted your credit card information twice. We almost always catch double payments and notify the participants. We would still encourage you to let us know by sending us an email message. We will immediately refund any cancelled courses. We will void any payments that have been made in error.

Privacy Policy:
We do not share private information that has been submitted during the registration process. The registration information is used to create the certificate of completion with your name on it. The information you share is stored in a secure database and will only be used for verification purposes.

FUTURE CME ACTIVITIES

Do you have a mailing list I can join to find out about upcoming CME/CE courses?
We maintain an active mailing list of individuals interested in receiving information for upcoming CME activities. By adding your name to our database, you will be sure to receive an email from us for each new course. The personal information you provide us is only used to send you the latest course information and will not be used for any other purpose without your consent. How can I provide feedback on future CME/CE course content I would like to see offered?
The NFA is interested in learning about continuing medical education (CME/CE) needs. Please take a moment to complete our CME/CE Assessment Survey. Your feedback will be used to assist the Continuing Medical Education Department with planning future CME/CE courses.
